What struck me most was the expert first paragraph which manages to squeeze a good many things into a short space. I always admire such paragraphs.
Here it is:
"August 2, 2003—With the baring of each lie the administration told about Iraq and the revelations still to come about its foreknowledge or complicity in the events of Sept. 11, 2001, that cost some 3,000 Americans their lives, in addition to an economy in tatters, the destruction of the US's paltry social safety net and deficits future generations will have to cope with, the Bushies' desperation level has reached a crescendo."
I like this because the evil deeds of this administration are now getting so numerous it is hard to remember them off the top of one's head. Thankfully there are many lists of them on the Internet to refresh one's memory when needed.

Though widely hailed at home as a hero for running to ground the convicted serial rapist Andrew Luster, a Max Factor heir, Chapman quickly was arrested by Mexican officials for committing what is considered kidnapping under Mexican law when he captured the fugitive.
If convicted, the bounty hunter could have spent as many as eight years in prison. Fortunately for Chapman he was released on bail by Judge Jose de Jesus Pineda, escaped to the United States and then failed to appear for trial.
Mexican officials are incensed by his actions and have placed Chapman on their most-wanted list. Ironically, the circumstances that allowed Mexican officials to hold Chapman in the first place also may prevent U.S. officials from extraditing him to Mexico.
The U.S. extradition treaty with Mexico includes a standard "dual-illegality" clause. A feature typical of extradition treaties, dual-illegality clauses limit extraditable offenses to those which are both criminal and punishable by at least one year in prison in both countries. 3-1-02There's certainly no need for my services in the 24-hour-a-day orgy of noisy, self-praise that pours from television, radio, magazines, movies, sporting events, and even sermons in the home of the brave. This non-stop, drum-beating, national revival meeting has become the background noise of everyday American life, so much so that many are not aware that there is anything unusual about it.
There is a wonderful scene in "The Gulag Archipelago." After a speech by Stalin, the audience applauds and applauds and cannot stop applauding. Everyone waits for his or her neighbours to stop before stopping, only the neighbours also do not stop. The applause threatens to continue forever. Why? Because NKVD men prowl the aisles, looking for anyone who stops applauding.
Without making any outlandish, inappropriate comparisons between Bush's America and Stalin's Russia, there is still a very uncomfortable parallel between that frightening historical scene and recent events in the U.S., especially the State of the Union address.
Even though the President said nothing demonstrating statesmanship or imagination or even compassion, everyone applauded and applauded and kept applauding. Some media commentators actually compared his feeble recitation of platitudes with the thrilling cadence and brilliant words of Franklin Roosevelt at a time of true darkness. Several well known television news personalities felt called upon to make odd, jingoistic personal statements as though they felt the need to prove their patriotic bona fides. Philip Shue intentionally killed himself April 16th in a high-speed auto crash (after being horrifically tortured with a knife and one digit of a finger severed and missing) is being met with disbelief by all but the most gullible observers.Fortunately for the colonel's widow, Tracy Shue, a grand jury panel in Kendall County, Texas - the scene of the mysterious death - refused to roll over for arrogant District Attorney Bruce Curry, and he will have to wait for another chance, late this month when the grand jury reconvenes, to see if he can sell his particular kettle of fish.

GREY TYPE A: They function in a mode that is apparently military in nature with a rigidly defined social structure that holds science and "conquering worlds" to be the prime movers. They are normally about 4.5 ft tall with large heads and black "wrap around" eyes. They have limited facial features, slit mouth and no nose to speak of. They have evolved beyond the need for reproductive systems or digestive systems and reproduce by cloning. Their genetics are partly based on insectoidal genetics.
Their science deals largely with the study of other life forms and genetic engineering. They have supposedly had a part to play in the alteration of human genetics over thousands of years. It seems that they may be trying to cross breed with humans in order to create a "mixture race" that would be better than either. (I've read that they are a dying species, that have cloned so much that now, with each successive cloning, the species grows weaker. They are trying to infuse new life into their species by creating the mixed breed.)
There seem to be two main social classes. One is the more hawkish and is more abrupt, crude and blunt. The more dove-like ones are more refined and capable of a more business-like behavior towards humans, and prefer to use more "diplomatic" behavior to gain control over human's. This type of Grey is what I believe is being referred to as the "Orange" class of Greys.
They seem to be emotionless (by human standards) and therefore are seen as cruel in their treatment of human beings. They are able to take human lives without any regard for that individual. They apparently can use certain substances of the human body for their sustenance and therefore appear to be carnivorous in regards to humans. (I also read that they extract fluid from some part of the human brain during intense emotional response [fear] and are able to use it like a recreational drug.)

Beneath the serene surface of Yellowstone Lake, where death from hypothermia comes within 30 minutes, seethes a boiling underwater world.
And like a pot too long on the stove, it could boil over, says U.S. Geological Survey geologist Lisa Morgan, Ph.D., of Colorado.
She and others from the USGS have been studying the hottest hot spot in the 7,731-foot elevation lake, a spot which Morgan has termed an "inflated plain." It lies south-southwest of Storm Point near Mary Bay, in the northern end of the lake.
Morgan, representing both the USGS and Yellowstone Volcanic Observatory, is in the process of mapping the lake floor with seismic reflection images. She uses a sonar system that emits sound waves. Morgan has taken 240 million soundings in the last four years.
She has found that temperatures along the inflated plain have been recorded at about 85 degrees 60 feet down, where the plain bulges up about 100 feet above the lake floor. (Park spokesman Cheryl Matthews says the lake rarely reaches more than 66 degrees at the surface by late summer, and is much colder deeper down.) The inflated plain stretches 2,100 feet - about the length of seven football fields - across.
"We think this is very young," something that occurred in the last few years, Morgan said.
"We're thinking this structure could be a precursor to an hydrothermal explosive event," Morgan said last week. "But we don't think this is a volcano." (--MORE--) www.codyenterprise.com

Perhaps one of the most controversial figures in astronomy, offering evidence that a planet-sized body may come close to Earth as early as this May, James McCanney, M.S., a former theoretical physicist at Cornell University, spoke with The EDGE about his findings, which are detailed in his recently published book, Planet-X: Comets & Earth Changes. Subtitled "A Scientific Treatise on the Effects of a new large Planet or Comet arriving in our Solar System and Expect Earth Weather and Earth Changes," this book has some people quite nervous and reportedly has high governmental officials planning ways to protect themselves in the case of cataclysmic disaster.What are some of the Earth changes expected to take place as this planet approaches the Earth?
McCanney: First of all, we don't have a definite sighting on this object. There is a belief, based on NASA's internal studies from the early '90s, that this object is coming in from a southerly location that is only visible during the month of May from the very southern locations on Earth, specifically New Zealand. Last spring, the weather in New Zealand did not cooperate and we were unable to get good observations, but we're waiting possibly as early as February of this year to be able to observe this object in the southern hemisphere as the Earth turns around the Sun.
We do believe a large, new object is coming into the solar system because of the preparations of the governments around the world, including our own. They're building cave cities for certain elite members of our society and basically leaving the rest of us out to hang like dirty laundry in the wind.
The effects on the Earth are very clear, both from my theoretical work and from what the ancients describe. There are episodes of mountain building. There could be a pole shift caused by a gravitational tidal wave that moves through the surface mantle of the Earth. There would be flooding both from tidal waves of the oceans, tremendous atmospheric storms and also from a huge pollution influx of oil and water -- hydrocarbons and water -- from inner planetary space onto Earth. And all of these things have been seen in the past.
I want to mention is that these planetary objects do not have to come necessarily that close to Earth to cause even dramatic Earth changes. Electrical discharges can occur between the planets even a distance apart. These, in fact, have been measured with NASA satellites where, in the 1990s, we saw incredible electrical discharges flow between Jupiter and Earth, taking out a number of our communication satellites. The scientists at that time were totally puzzled that outer space could do this. They still don't understand the very electrical nature of our solar system. What will happen when a Comet or Asteroid Strikes the Earth?
Have you ever watched a shooting star in the night sky? In general, a shooting star is the size of a single grain of sand.
